The Democratic Black Caucus of Florida [DBCF], under the leadership of President Henry Crespo, Sr., is making final plans for its 32nd Annual Conference with a theme “All in to Win 2014: The Year of Action.” Member chapters from across the state of Florida will gather at the Doubletree by Hilton at Sea World in Orlando from May 30th - June 1st for events that will include: a founders’ luncheon, workshops, a women’s roundtable breakfast, an evening gala and other activities centered on the power of the vote. The late Silo Crespo was my religious leader and the man that motivated and inspired me to practice the African religion of our ancestors.

When visiting Temple Unity in Miami to get my Yoruba prayer on, I would see this young guy running a-round that grew up to be very active in politics.
